The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) Women's Book Club is a newly formed unit of the historic Department of Women of the Church of God in Christ. It was established in April 2017 by Mother Barbara McCoo Lewis, the seventh General Supervisor of the International Department of Women of the Church of God in Christ.

The purpose of the COGIC Women's Book Club is to promote reading among the women of the Church of God in Christ and to serve as a platform for readers, writers, and authors to grow and share their knowledge, experience, and passion for reading, writing, and publishing.

In 2017, Mother Lewis appointed Dr. Sheary Johnson as the founding Coordinator of the Women's Book Club. Since that time, Dr. Johnson has structured the Book Club into three components: the Author's Forum, the Readers Forum, and the Training Services Division.

Women throughout the Church of God in Christ are welcomed and encouraged to take advantage of the excellent resources, in the form of sessions, books, articles, and other uplifting and inspiring publications made available to them through our great denomination!
